This tree has small, purple-pink flowers in early spring. After the flowers are done, they are followed by shiny, deep green, heart-shaped leaves that turn into warm yellows in the fall. Oklahoma Redbud grows about 15 feet tall and wide, but can be maintained smaller by trimming. This is an ideal tree for a small yard with plenty of sun exposure. Its small size makes a perfect tree near concrete walkways.

The seedless male cultivar 'Keith Davey' is one of the most popular medium/large deciduous trees in our area. It is clean, vigorous, and tough, not to mention provides a beautiful red fall color. This tree could eventually reach 40 feet tall and wide with age, and size can be controlled by trimming periodically.

It can be kept 20 feet tall and wide with a multi branch shape, or less with minimal pruning. Fruitless olives may produce small amounts of tiny, dry olives especially if bee activity is present during the spring blooming period.

Generally, these trees are kept around 20 feet tall and wide, or are easily pruned smaller.
